The Miss Georgia Elite Camp, held at Spelman College, was a smash hit! During the elite camp the contestants took courses on public speaking, stage presence and walking. In addition, the contestants received T-shirt and cute little goodie bags. I think the girls had a lot of fun, gained a lot of information and made new friends. Toward the end of the the camp the girls learned the choreography for the opening of the show, and I wanted to cry! It was beautiful. Shout go out to coach PHAT for such amazing choreography. The elite girls seem so much more confident when presenting themselves this time around. I was totally impressed with their hard work and efforts. They seem to get along while still competing. All of the girls are beautiful so competion is tough; the winner will need to work really hard on originality and speech performance. The judes will be looking for unique girls who can present themselves publicy. Once again, good luck and rehearsal starts in August.
The Meet & Greet Breakfast was a total success! The young ladies looked adorable in their white tops as they took head shots and group photos. The Elite Girls were excited and worked very well with each other considering that this was the first time that they had met their competition. As the girls presented themselves publicly they seemed to be confident and willing to receive constructive criticism. Shouts go out to all the parents for all their hard work and efforts that they put into the girls. The next event will be the Elite Camp June 6 @ Spelman College. We look forward to seeing you there!
CEM Productions will be hosting the Miss Georgia Elite Meet & Greet Breakfast for all contestants this Saturday, May 9, 2009 9:30am @ Spelman College. All interested must bring head shot, wear a white top, dress casually and must be prepared for photo shoot as well as a public introduction.
